Mrs. Meyer is an Ultimate Warrior because she creates a safe environment for kids to have a growth mindset. Students don't always have positive thinking towards the subject of math, but once Mrs. Meyer gets a hold of students, their mindset shifts and their math abilities are out of this world. Her classroom is energetic, rewarding, and nothing short of a dang good time. Math is patterns and Mrs. Meyer is the bomb.com!

Amy Elliott is very deserving of the Ultimate Warrior Award! Amy works relentlessly to ensure that students feel safe, supported and are engaged in their learning. Amy creates so many experiments and enrichment projects to help her students truly learn the material, but even more, enjoy what they are doing! Students are excited to go to Mrs. Elliott's class every day and that is because she has created an environment and culture where students thrive and she challenges them to truly engage in ancient cultures and science curriculum. Additionally, Amy is a great teammate, leads by example, forms strong relationships and takes care of the details so everyone feels prepared to be successful. We are so lucky that Amy is a Warrior!

As we begin to wrap up semester one, let's take a look back at some of our favorite highlights so far this year: 🏈 Homecoming Night: Warriors won versus Oak Park High School with an overall score of 18 to 10. ✂️ SSD hosts a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the brand-new Transportation Center. 📚 SHS hosts its annual College and Career Fair; students learned about the many options that they can choose after graduation. 🪡 SMS students utilize sewing machines to perfect their sewing abilities. 🎨 Dot Day at Eagle Heights: Students in Mrs. Aeschliman's class celebrated Dot Day! 🛝 Preschool students at Maple Elementary use brand-new playground equipment. 🖌️ Horizon Elementary students put the final touches on their works of art. We're incredibly proud of all our Warriors and the amazing things they've accomplished this semester! We can't wait for next semester and all that it will bring.
