Our Winter production of Something Rotten! was nominated for 4 awards through Starlight Theater's Blue Star Awards program. We were put up against over 50 other schools in the KC metro area of varying sizes, this is the most nominations in our school history! Here are the nominations:
-Sylis Newman- Ceremony Ensemble
-Outstanding Actor in a Supporting Role- Sylis Newman as Shakespeare in Something Rotten!
-Outstanding Scenic Design & Construction- Something Rotten!
-Outstanding Costume Design & Construction- Something Rotten! (Sylis Newman was also the head designer on this)


Congrats to Zacary Wheeler. He received the NROTC Scholarship which was $200,000!


11 archers traveled to The Wichita Heights High School on Saturday. They competed in the 3rd Annual Air Capital archery tournament. They shot in Bullseye & 3D. Mason Throm took 4th in bullseye In 3D and took 3rd place in teams. Next weekend we have archers headed to Herington KS for the 4th Annual Flint Hills Border Battle 3D which is an outdoor tournament & then on May 4 we back home to host our 3rd Annual Warrior Outdoor Challenge 3D tournament.

We have a student lead event coming soon for our Principal, Mr. Moore! It's the Scott Moore Basketball Tournament! It will be April 17th at 5pm and will feature a bake sale and a local business raffle. It's a CASH ONLY event. Congratulations to these fine writers. Last night, at the Platte Clay Electric Cooperative in Kearney, MO, students from Platte and Clay counties presented their essays to a panel of judges from the region.
Mason Throm and Noah Hazen will be attending the Youth Cycle in Jefferson City this summer and Isabella Monachello will be attending the Youth Tour in Washington D.C. !!!


Our Archery team competed in the State Archery Tournament a couple of weeks ago and they have more tournaments coming up. There's still time to go out and support them! Contact Jeremy Batliner for future tournament dates!
