Mrs. McCrary's Cadet teachers are practicing reading children's books to one another. This assists when working with kids in a real-world setting, and feedback from classmates helps them improve their skills. SHS's Cadet teaching program provides an opportunity for students interested in a teaching career to work with experienced teachers in a classroom setting. The program provides students who possess exemplary interpersonal and leadership skills the insights about teachers and schools so that they might become advocates for education.
