Ms. Emily Johnson is joining Eagle Heights Elementary School as an Instructional Assistant. She is originally from Smithville, MO. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Truman State University and is working on earning a Master's Degree in Counseling through the University of Central Missouri.
Mrs. Tammy Saighman is joining Eagle Heights Elementary School as an Instructional Assistant. She is originally from Smithville, MO. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Southwest Missouri State, and previously was an employee of Smithville School District for 12 years, a CNA, and a licensed pharmacy technician.
Mrs. Melinda Royds is joining Maple Elementary School as a Recess/Cafeteria Aide. She is originally from Brainard, NE. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and has previous experience in the print industry in Sales and Customer Service Management.
Mrs. Samantha Schottel is joining Eagle Heights Elementary School as a 1st Grade Teacher. She is originally from Kearney, MO. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Drake University and a Master's Degree in administration from William Woods University and has previously taught for 8 years.
Mr. Aaron Patterson is joining Smithville High School as an Athletic Trainer. He is originally from Raymore, MO. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from Truman State University and a Master's Degree in Sport and Fitness Management from Missouri Western State University. He previously worked as an Athletic Trainer at Missouri Western State University, a Clinical Athletic Trainer at Sano Orthopedics, and is currently an Athletic Trainer at Lightning Performance Solutions KC.
Ms. Brenda Martin is joining Horizon Elementary School as an Instructional Assistant. She is originally from Kansas City. She and her daughter previously owned and operated a preschool in Oklahoma where they loved working with and shaping the minds of children.
Mrs. Ashleigh Dunlap is joining Maple Elementary School as a Recess/Cafeteria Aide. She is originally from Parkville, MO. She attended MCC and earned a Childhood Development Certificate. She previously owned her own in-home daycare for 9 years.
Mr. Samuel Denning is joining Smithville High School as an Assistant Wrestling Coach. He is originally from Sonoma, CA. He attended Benedictine College where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Science in Civil Engineering. He is currently working as a Civil Engineer.
