Melinda Stewart has accepted the role of Eagle Heights Elementary School Principal for the 2024-2025 school year. Ms. Stewart comes to us with extensive experience, having served as the Principal of Jennie Wilson Elementary in Garden City, KS, from 2010 until now. During her tenure, she led the development of a shared school mission and vision, focused on enhancing student performance through data analysis, and introduced a wellness program for students and staff. Prior to this, she was Principal in another Garden City elementary school from 2002 to 2010 and spent 11 years in the classroom as a teacher.
“Moving to this beautiful area and having the privilege to serve as Eagle Heights Elementary principal is an incredible opportunity. I look forward to becoming a part of this community and contributing to the growth and success of our children,” stated Stewart.
Ms. Stewart attended Kansas State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and also holds a Masters of Science in Education Administration from Fort Hays State University.
