Middle school and high school students are invited to join us!

Are you passionate about making a difference in your school community? Do you want to have a voice in important decisions that affect students like you? The Superintendent's Student Advisory Council is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic students to join our team!

This is not just any student group—our council plays a critical role in shaping policies and initiatives that impact every student in our district. As a member, you will have the unique opportunity to work closely with Dr. Mark Maus and other district leaders, provide valuable insights, and drive meaningful change. Last school year the group helped implement the following changes in our schools:

• providing input for a graphic to be installed on the new HS gymnasium wall

• giving input on possible safety measures for the Homecoming parade

• refinishing the flooring of the HS bathrooms to reduce "mirror-like" flooring

• installing dividers in the MS bathrooms to increase privacy

The Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council is returning for the 2024-2025 school year. Our meetings will be on the second Friday of the month (February and March will take place on the third Friday of the month due to calendar conflicts). Lunch will be provided.

We take our work seriously, and we expect the same commitment from our council members. If you are selected, you will be representing your peers and helping to ensure that their voices are heard. This is a significant responsibility and an incredible opportunity to develop your leadership skills, make a real impact, and enhance your college applications.
