National Bus Safety Week

Warrior Families, this week is National School Bus Safety Week, a time to highlight the importance of school bus safety. Not only do we want to ensure the safety of our students riding the bus, but we also want to emphasize the role parents play in keeping everyone safe. Here are some tips for your next ride on the bus:

Students:

  • Bus Stop Behavior: Wait for the bus to come to a complete stop before getting on or off.

  • Crossing the Street: Always look both ways before crossing the street, even if you're crossing at a designated crosswalk.

  • Bus Behavior: Be respectful of the driver, bus aide, and any other passengers.

Parents:

  • Bus Stop Safety: Ensure your child is at least six feet away from the curb while waiting for the bus.

  • Bus Loading and Unloading: Never pass a school bus while its lights are flashing or the stop sign is out.

  • Set a Good Example: Model safe driving habits, including stopping for school buses.
