With summer just around the corner, it's time to start planning for one of our favorite events of the year—Field Day at Eagle Heights Elementary! Mark your calendars:
Date: Wednesday, May 21st
K-1st Grade: 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM
2nd-4th Grade: 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM
Location: Gym, back parking lot, and side grassy area beside Eagle Heights
Students will rotate through various fun stations that promote teamwork, physical activity, and lots of laughter. We’re ready to see the kids enjoy these exciting challenges!
Rainy Day? No problem! In the event of bad weather, we’ll hold a makeup date on Thursday, May 22nd.

5th & 6th Field Day at the High School Track 🏃♂️
We’re thrilled to host our 5th and 6th graders for a combined Field Day with Maple and Horizon Elementary! Here’s what you need to know:
Date: Tuesday, May 27th
Location: High School Track
Transportation: Students will be bussed to and from Eagle Heights. More details on the transportation schedule will follow soon. Students can either bring a packed lunch from home or purchase a sack lunch from OPAA. Keep an eye out for more information about lunch options and transportation times as we get closer to our date.
Volunteer Opportunity: We will also be looking for volunteers to assist during this event.

🌿🤖📚 Get Ready for Read Across America: Wild Robot Style! 📚🤖🌿
This week, we’re celebrating the magic of reading with a fun Wild Robot-themed spirit week! Each day, students can dress up and participate in activities inspired by the book. Check out the exciting themes:
🏕 Tuesday 3/4 – Learning to Survive Day: Dress for adventure with survival-friendly clothes like camouflage, sturdy boots, or outdoor gear.
🌿 Wednesday 3/5 – Nature’s Colors Day: Show off your love for nature by wearing colors of the island—greens, browns, blues, and more!
👯♂️ Thursday 3/6 – Best Friends Forever Day: Come dressed as your best friend or your favorite book character!
🧸 Friday 3/7 – Finding Friendship Day: Cozy up in your pajamas and bring a stuffed animal friend to cuddle with as we wrap up our reading adventure.
We can’t wait to see all the creative outfits and celebrate the joy of reading together! 📖✨

Spring Pictures are on Tuesday, March 11th. All students will get pictures taken and proofs will be sent home with them to determine if you'd like to purchase them. Please do not send money with your student on the day of the pictures.

We’re thrilled to kick off our One Book, One District reading initiative on February 3rd with The Wild Robot by Peter Brown! 🎉 This heartwarming adventure follows Roz, a robot who mysteriously wakes up on a remote island and must learn to adapt, survive, and connect with the wild creatures around her.

From February 3rd to 7th, our 6th grade students are hosting a food drive! Please send non-perishable food items with your students. All donations will be given to a local church to support those in need.
