On Thursday, April 7th the Smithville Warriors traveled to play in the Darren Floyd Memorial tournament at Tiffany Greens GC. The course conditions were extremely difficult with soggy zoysia fairways, high winds and rain. This did not seem to matter for senior golfer Andrew Conrad. Conrad posted a score of 69, 3 under par to break the Smithville boys 18 hole school record previously held by Josh Doss (70) and Charlie King (70). Conrad also tied the 9 hole school record previously held by Trace Walters 34. Andrew’s score of 69 was good enough for a 1st place finish. The 2nd place score was a 73 posted by Staley’s, Logan Broyles.

The Smithville golf team finish the tournament in 10th place with a team total of 351. Lee’s Summit West took 1st place with a team total of 321.
