The Smithville Girls Golf team ended their season with a 5th place finish at the Missouri Class 2 State Tournament at Columbia Country Club in Columbia, MO on Oct. 18th and 19th. Smithville qualified their entire team for the state tournament after taking first place in the Class 2 District 4 golf tournament.
The Smithville girls shot a team total 407 after round 1 of the state tournament and were in 4th place, only nine strokes back of 3rd place Kirksville. Round 1 individual scores were Cali Hatcher 96, Marie Peach 99, Kenzie Moes 102, Kali Brown 110, and Amanda Conrad 119.
Round 2 of the tournament the Smithville girls had high hopes of finishing as one of the top 4 teams in the state. Unfortunately, solid play from Helias Catholic held those hopes off. The Smithville team total for round 2 was 412. Round 2 individual scores were Kali Brown 97, Marie Peach 100, Cali Hatcher 106, Amanda Conrad 109, and Kenzie Moes 115.
