Smithville Warriors Varsity scored eight runs in the first on its way to a 15-0 victory over Grandview on Wednesday. Smithville Warriors Varsity’s big inning was driven by singles by Lily Wornson, Elizabeth Palmer, and Haven Gann, a walk by Katie Robinette, and by Deyton Odneal.

Smithville Warriors Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning, when Wornson singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

One bright spot for Grandview was a single by #15 in the first inning.

Raelyn Tanner got the win for Smithville Warriors Varsity. Tanner went three innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out four and walking zero.

#3 took the loss for Grandview. The pitcher surrendered 15 runs on nine hits over four innings.
